Donation of “Way to Happiness” Booklet to SAHEE
Pak Suzuki has donated 5,100 (Five Thousand One Hundred) “Way to Happiness” Booklets to the request of SAHEE (Society for the Advancement of Health, Education and the Environment), which will be distributed among the prisoners for their rehabilitation and development to live normal and happy life by following the right path. This 76 pages’ booklet will provide the user an information about Happiness, how to Take Care of self, Maintaining Life Balance, Respect & Help others, Setting Good Examples, Avoiding Bad Deeds, etc. SAHEE is a non-profit service organization, has been working in the field of social betterment since 1996; the organization is changing the prisoner’s Mindsets through its training program called CRIMINON, which comprised of some important activities which are Prisoner Rehabilitation, Prisoner’s Staff Training, Drug Awareness Lectures, Teacher’s Training and Seminars on Value & Ethics, etc. The organization is mainly active in the region of Sindh Jails, however currently it is also providing training in Bahawalpur Central Jail. The CRIMINON Training program has been so successful that over a period of decade around 7,000 prisoners (male & females) have been trained and only one case was reported to commit a crime again; most of the trainees have become trainers and helping others to live a normal & happy life. The donation ceremony was held on Friday 13th March, 2020 at SAHEE Office; Mr. Masafumi Harano, MD & CEO Pak Suzuki and senior officials of Pak Suzuki and SAHEE attended the ceremony.
HSE & CLP Awareness Sessions at AOL
Under CSR program, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Awareness Session & Computer Literacy Program was conducted on 24th January, 2020 for the children (son/daughter/brother & sister) of Area Office Lahore Officers. Total 20 children participated in these sessions. In Computer Literacy session, Training regarding the Basic Computer Usage, MS-Office, etc. was given them by CP Team, while in HSE Session, trainer enlightened on Health related issues, importance of knowing safety issues and related precautions, tips to stay healthy, safe & secure during day to day activities, including environment protection. In the end, participants were awarded with gifts.
Awareness Sessions “CSR GUIDELINES FOR SUPPLIERS”
Follow the guideline of SUZUKI MOTOR CORPORATION Japan, PSMCL has the mission to consider the safety of its customers, conservation of environment, laws and social norms to run the business while keeping the proper relationship with his own stakeholders and SUZUKI Family. For strengthening mutual understanding and trust with our stakeholders, PSMCL conducted awareness sessions on “CSR GUIDELINES FOR SUPPLIERS” to address the concepts & issues related to social responsibilities, with our suppliers. These sessions were conducted by Head Corporate Planning for Karachi & Lahore based suppliers which was attended by ~ 100 supplier’s representatives.
Donation to BasicNeeds Pakistan - 2019
Pak Suzuki has donated (Sewing Machines, Machine stands, Cutting tables, Cabinet, Fabric rolls, Stitching related items, Stationery, Medicines & Promotional Material, etc.) to BasicNeeds Pakistan on 17th December, 2019. The purpose of this donation is to enhance the training facilities at BasicNeeds. BasicNeeds Pakistan is helping underprivileged women affected by mental illness or epilepsy by providing mental health care and socio-economic services through outreach clinics and livelihoods programs. The students are given vocational trainings such as fashion designing, making of dresses, purses, hand embroidery and jewelry, etc. free of cost. Psychiatric patients are also provided with clinical consultancy and medicines, all at free. The objective is to enable these suppressed women to live a normal and healthy life, become financially independent and so contribute to their family as well. Mr. Masafumi Harano, MD & CEO Pak Suzuki while addressing at ceremony, sincerely appreciated the efforts of BasicNeeds Pakistan for educating, curing and developing these helpless women to turn them into productive assets for society and country.
Safe Driving Techniques Awareness Session - 2019
Under CSR Program, a Driving Awareness Session on “SAFE DRIVING TECHNIQUES” has been conducted in the company for Car Carriers’ Team, on Wednesday 29th November, 2019, to enhance their Safety Level and to ensure their safe journey. During the session, Head Corporate Planning Department informed about Safe Driving Techniques, Highway Driving Rules and Tips for Maintenance of Vehicles; the awareness session also comprised of pictorial/video demonstration about Driving Signs and Techniques, Accidents and their Precautions. In the end, Mr. Rashid Hameed Khan, Divisional Head Sales participated in session. Total 35 participants attended the awareness session; gifts were also presented to participants.
